MARK FRIE (Email)
Chief Executive Officer

Mark Frie is a certified performing arts executive with a broad background in performance, directing, and theatrical management. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, a multi-venue center that hosts over 500 events annually, ranging from national Broadway tours, headline acts, and partnering with local ballet, symphony, and theatrical groups. Previously, Mark was the executive director of the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center and the Kristin Chenoweth Theatre.

Mark has performed throughout North America in musicals, operas, and concerts. He made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2006 and has enjoyed performing with symphonies across the country. His work experience includes Radio City Music Hall, North Shore Music Theatre (Boston), Music Theatre Wichita, Dallas Theatre Center, Casa Manana Theatre in Ft. Worth, The Majestic, Bass Hall, Fair Park Music Hall, and the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

In Mark's tenure at the Tulsa PAC, he has successfully guided the company from being a decades-long department of the City of Tulsa to incorporation as a stand-alone nonprofit organization. In that transition, Mark negotiated a 25-year management agreement with the City. Since then, Mark has grown the staff and programming at the center immensely. He created the TPAC’s Orbit Initiative in his first year at the center with the intention of getting the arts outside the walls of the TPAC. In partnership with Celebrity Attractions, he also began The Discovery Awards. Most recently, Mark successfully led the campaign for Improve Our Tulsa funding in which Tulsans voted for a 79.7 million package for capital improvements for the TPAC, which is the largest for an arts organization in the history of the city of Tulsa.

Mark serves as Chair for the Tulsa Office of Film Music and Culture and was instrumental in securing significant ARPA funding for the Play Tulsa Music fund. He continues to perform locally in musical theatre and occasionally directs and consults on local and national theatre projects.

JEN ALDEN (Email)
Chief Financial Officer

Jen became TPAC CFO in 2019. Her professional and artistic background is incredibly diverse; she studied ballet at State Ballet of Oregon, University of Oregon, Eugene Ballet and the Danskervelt School of Dance in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since graduating with an accounting degree from the University of Oregon, Jen worked as a senior at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Portland and received the Chairman’s award. After relocating to Tulsa, she worked for Williams Company as a financial reporting senior before accepting a position with ETX Energy, where she served as the controller. Jen has choreographed for Oklahoma Movement, Theatre Tulsa, Tulsa Opera, Tulsa Symphony and TPAC’s Orbit program. She served on the board as treasurer for the Living Arts of Tulsa and was the chair of the Arts and Entertainment Crew of Tulsa Young Professionals (TYPROs). Jen has received awards for 40 under 40 for both Tulsa People and Tulsa Business and Legal News.

Though she has centered her career on accounting, Jen is still passionate about the arts. As someone who directs, choreographs and produces local shows, the TPAC’s mission of being the catalyst to give local talent a platform to grow is near to her heart and something she takes great pride in being a part of. It's important to Jen that performing arts thrive in Tulsa not only personally but as a benefit to the character of the community.

Sara Phoenix (Email)
VP of Development

Since earning her BFA in theatre from the University of Oklahoma, Sara has never stopped working with and for the arts. An accomplished theatre director and choreographer, she has been involved with multiple nonprofit arts organizations over the last 20 years — both nationally and in Tulsa — serving on boards and working in development, fundraising, education and strategic planning. She has worked as a certified theatre teacher for several years in public schools and served as the content manager for fine arts for Tulsa Public Schools. She also spent the last nine years as the executive director and artistic director for Theatre Tulsa.

Growing up attending and performing in productions at the TPAC, it is like a second home to her. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to help see the TPAC through its next phase of development and outreach and to support bringing world-class performing arts to Tulsa.

BRYAN CLEMONS (Email)
VP of Operations

Bryan came to the Tulsa PAC in September of 2010, following a successful 32-year career in the United States Coast Guard. He served in several key leadership positions; he is a graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer’s Academy (Class XXIV); and held Senior Enlisted Advisor positions in the Atlantic Theater, the Northern borders, and CG Headquarters Washington DC. His experience with people, large and complex systems, and attention to detail make him perfect for his current position.

With his understanding of systems and his desire to ensure everything is exactly where it needs to be at all times, Bryan and his team endeavor to have every detail in place for every show, helping to provide performers, patrons, staff and crew the best possible experience.
