TPAC Produces
From putting on an annual show free to all Tulsa Public Schools kindergarteners to huge stage spectacles, the Tulsa Performing Arts Center is making its mark on local theatre, creating some of the most beautiful, incredible theatre in the region.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! Comes to the Tulsa PAC
The Tulsa Performing Arts Center is proud to announce its next original production: Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, running July 24–August 16, 2026 in the Williams Theatre.
Following the PAC’s critically acclaimed productions of Ragtime and Fiddler on the Roof, this new staging continues our tradition of bringing Broadway-caliber storytelling to Tulsa with community at its heart.
Directed by Mark Frie
The production will be led by TPAC CEO Mark Frie, who portrayed Jud Fry for decades at Discoveryland in Sand Springs, the National Home of Oklahoma!. Frie first took the stage there in 1977—the same year the Tulsa PAC opened its doors—making this production a full-circle moment that celebrates both local and national theatre heritage.
A Celebration of Tradition and Community
In tribute to Discoveryland’s beloved legacy, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy optional ticket add-ons, including a classic Oklahoma BBQ meal and Berries and Cream before the show. Guests can also look forward to live pre-show entertainment featuring cast members and local musicians, making each evening a true community celebration.
Part of the Route 66 Centennial
This production proudly joins the official Route 66 Centennial celebrations, honoring the cultural traditions and stories that connect Oklahoma to the nation and beyond.
